Furniture & Shopping

We decided to head to Evansville for a day of shopping on Saturday, April 13th. We were a little nervous, since potty training was so new... but we had a to-do list that needed completing.  I had a 31 meeting that morning and Wil kicked off turkey season at the farm. Kasey came over to watch Parker for a couple of hours. At lunch time, we headed to Henderson's Alles Brothers to order a new bedroom suite. Parker did really well.

Parker started coughing a lot on the way to Henderson and was getting congested. We could tell he was starting to feel bad. Luckily, we had a backup plan. Grammie & Pops were actually staying in a hotel that night in Evansville to watch Macie, Gavin, & Lilah after their Aunt Annie's wedding. There's no way the kids could have tolerated staying up that late. We headed to get Parker's tux for Katie & Luke's wedding. He did really well there too, but he wouldn't let me take a picture of him. Thanks Uncle Brian for the coupon! It was actually cheaper to buy Parker's tux than to rent one... and this way, Parker's tux matches Gavin's.

Wil also needed to be fitted for his tux but at a different tux place. Luckily, it was just a few doors down. By this point, it was already near 5:00. All we had left on the agenda was to run around and look for a new comforter. We decided to let Parker go stay with Grammie & Pops at the hotel, while Wil and I finished our to-do list. Parker had so much fun at the hotel, and he was thrilled when the other kids showed up! Grammie even gave Parker a bath

Wil and I ran in and out of too many places looking for the perfect comforter. Thanks to Grammie & Pops, Wil and I even got to have a little dinner date. We sat there the whole time talking about Parker, because the table next to us has a little boy giving his parents a hard way to go. We were thankful for a dinner alone. We picked Parker back up at the hotel a little before 9:00 that night and made the long drive home.
