Parker LOVED celebrating the 4th of July this year, and we didn't see any major fireworks. They wore red, white, and blue for daycare and walked in a "parade." They really just gathered several classes and walked around the block. The kids made hats and several pieces of artwork. It's fun seeing Parker mature and really enjoy holidays.
Last year, Brian and his family came to swim at our house on the 4th of July. This year we decided to head to the farm for some fishing. Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side. It started raining on our way there and didn't stop until we left. It was a nice slow, fine rain though. Poor Macie was trying so hard to be patient, but it was hard because the rain just didn't stop. Finally, Wil and Uncle Brian decided to just fish in the rain. The kids had soooo much fun, and no one ended up sick from the rain! I took a few pictures with my phone --
... but Abbie had some awesome ones on her camera. All the the pictures of actual fishing were taking from the cabin porch (except the last two of Macie), which is a long distance from the actual lake. I think that camera is on my Christmas wish list. Check out her blog post --
