Tubes

Parker had surgery Thursday to put tubes in his ears. We got to the hospital about 6:15, and everything went really smoothly. The anesthesiologist, Jamie, was great with Parker. When the nurse came to take Parker away, he was a little leery. Jamie came down the hall and said, "Come on Parker. You're coming with me!" Parker was only away from us for 20 minutes. We knew it'd be a quick procedure, and we were releaved when we heard him crying on his way back to our room.  They warned us that Parker would be pretty inconsolable for about 20 minutes after he woke up. Well, Parker decided to cry for 40 minutes instead! It was a little heartbreaking at first, but it turned funny after a while. By the time we left the hospital, Parker had calmed down. By lunch time, he was mostly back to himself.

Aunt Katie came to town, because she needed to go to the AT&T warranty store. We all went out to lunch together and did a little shopping. It was nice to get Parker out, and he took a great late afternoon nap!  Nikki & Rodney came by later that night and brought Parker a "feel better" present. They didn't get to stay long, but it was a great distraction for a sleepy Parker.
