Since we're breastfeeding, we had a pediatrician appointment set up for Monday morning to check Parker's weight. It worked out great, because we were able to get more blood work done that morning before his appointment. It definitely takes a lot longer to get out the door with a newborn, but we made it on time. Parker's on his own schedule and doesn't care that Mommy is a planner. He decided he couldn't wait for lunch, so I fed him in the doctor's office. Dr. Ray came in just as Parker had filled his diaper. She didn't seem to mind waiting while Daddy changed him. Also convenient while Daddy was changing him, Parker had projectile vomit/milk. Dr. Ray saw it and asked if we'd just given him a bottle. We told her that it was my milk, so she said we could stop offering him bottles. If he stopped eating so well, then Wil needed to give him a bottle. She didn't want to confuse Parker or risk hurting his progress with breastfeeding. Parker's bilirubin level had gone up again (18.7). Dr. Ray said it was time to start phototherapy. We were sad, but what can you do? We left the doctor's office and went to pick up the light blanket/wrap. Parker needed to wear it at all times unless he was feeding.

Parker handled wearing the wrap really well. It was easiest to keep him in the swing while he was wearing it, because it kept him from wiggling out of it.
