Christmas Day

Our original Christmas day plans were to go to church with Wil's mom and dad that morning. Then, we were going to go to Madisonville to visit with my dad's side of the family, see my Papaw in the nursing home, and then have dinner with my mom's side of the family. Our little Christmas Eve extravaganza canceled all of those plans. We wound up sleeping/resting most of the day and enjoyed dinner with Wil's mom and dad instead.  Although we were pretty sore, it was kind of nice spending a relaxing day in our new home. We never would have imagined our Christmas like this... but we really can't complain. We're all safe, and that's what matters most.

Amanda (my old roomie) and her boyfriend Dan came late Christmas night for a quick visit. We watched tv and ate leftover Christmas sweets. They had to leave to head back to Chicago Sunday morning, but it was so nice getting to see them. Our roomie time always flies by so quickly!  Wil went to the farm Sunday afternoon, and I enjoyed another nice afternoon of relaxing on the couch. I think the two days of rest were kind of therapeutic. It's sad that it took us being stuck in a ditch to make us slow down a bit.
